					Fulford Place

20 minute drive - Fulford Place, the home of
George Taylor Fulford, is located in Brockville at the eastern
end of King Street amidst an array of some of the most
magnificently maintained Gothic mansions in the province.
Fulford was the founder of the G.T. Fulford Co. one of the most
successful patent medicine companies in the late 19th and early
20th centuries. They achieved worldwide fame for their “Pink
Pills for Pale People.” Today the mansion is owned and operated
year round by the Ontario Heritage Trust.
Large and impressive 1890's vintage historic mansion built by a
man who made his fortune selling "Pink Pills for Pale People."
Original furnishings, gardens and family history are presented.
There is a gift shop, and cafe with full lunch menu.

At the end of the 1900s, more millionaires per capita lived in
Brockville than in any other Canadian city. Their elegant
mansions edge the St. Lawrence River.

Presently, this mansion is maintained by the Ontario Heritage
Trust and there are tours of the mansion conducted by very
knowledgeable dedicated volunteers passionate about the history
of how George Fulford built his home and the G.T. Fulford Co.
The personalized tour is about 1 hour in length and well worth
				every minute.

The home presently houses a little cafe which is becoming famous
for their high tea. Well worth the price just to dine in the
				ambiance of this home.
